Ukrainian physician and writer. Parfanovych specialized in obstetrics and gynecology and was a pioneer in sex education in Eastern Europe. She emigrated to Germany in 1945 and worked with Ukrainian refugees in an IRO hospital until 1949 when she emigrated to the United States and continued her work among the Ukrainian-American community.
